LPX Tactical combines cutting-edge technology with a new definition of state-of-the-art rod actions for trout fishing. Tactical features a distinct and precise action that gradually unleashes when you load the rods more and more. The action is best described as fast, ¾ deep, with superb stability, suitable for all levels of fly casters. When casting at shorter distances, the tip and mid-section provide the important sensitivity you need; at mid and longer distances, the lower parts of the rod engage, offering the connection, power, and stability you dream of. These rods are truly exceptional: super smooth yet rigid, mastering all the different types of casts you like to do and protecting the finest tippets while playing your trophy trout. Ultralight in hand and in real weight - a 9ft #5 weighs just 71 grams!

Model Info

9' ROD MODELS: The 9ft rods are superlight fly rods for those who prefer this classical length, providing a true lightweight feeling for the recommended line weight. Incredibly versatile and less affected by wind, they have a faster action than the 9'9 rods. The rods in #2-#3 in the 9ft range are true dry fly and nymphing rods for the most delicate fishing with the finest tippets. The #4 and #5 are go-to rods for all-around dry and nymphing in all types of waters. These rods exhibit equally good performance on short and long distances with all types of casts. The #6 wt rod is for those who seek more wind-exposed areas and want a rod to manage streamers well too. The #7wt is there to handle those chunky articulated streamers with heavy sinking lines.

Technology

C.A.P M4.0™ gives spectacular performance with flawless recovery and unique precision. C.A.P Technology features a Complex Axial Pattern (CAP) paired with unidirectional carbon fiber layups. In CAP, layers of carbon fibers are placed in varying angles to each other to maximize strength and stability in all directions. In a unidirectional non-woven carbon pattern, all fibers run in a single, parallel direction ensuring maximum strength lengthwise.

M4.0 ™ is the resin we use in this type of blank construction. The properties of this resin fill the gaps in the carbon cloth more effective than normal resins and has greater strength. It also decreases the overall need for resin in blank construction. Resulting in lighter rods than ever before.
